Afternoon tea at The Lounge, Westin Abu Dhabi
We recently went along to The Westin Abu Dhabi for a bit of a treat to enjoy Afternoon Tea at The Lounge. There's something very decadent about having afternoon tea, and it's a lovely way to relax! If you fancy trying it out for yourself, read on to find out more and enter the competition below to win afternoon tea for two from those kind folks at The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa...
Afternoon tea at The Westin is served in The Lounge, a rather nice upmarket coffee house just beyond the lobby area of the hotel with views looking out onto the lush greenery of the golf course and driving range.
It's served with either Jing teas or Illy coffee (non-alcoholic package), or if you fancy a cheeky tipple - there's a glass of bubbly or a gin and tonic option. I went for the non-alcoholic and chose a rather lovely jasmine tea from their variety of choices, and Mr. Arabian Notes went for the bubbly option.
Make sure you bring your appetite if you go along, as is always the case, there is lots of food for two people!
The three-tiered serving platter contains homemade sandwiches with a variety of different fillings (I was particularly fond of the organic chicken and mango combination - yum!), fresh breadsticks (that were particularly moreish!), scones with cream and different homemade jams, along with a delicious selection of pastries, chocolates and cakes.
It made a lovely change as afternoon tea is not something that we often do and I just can't tell you how lovely it all was. With great food and such a peaceful and relaxing environment (especially as Baby Arabian Notes was very obliging and slept through the whole thing!) it was just a lovely opportunity to sit back, relax and have a chat in lovely surroundings whilst watching the world go by.
The proof is in the, er... scone?! :)
